アデル・ファンサ氏追悼

アレッポの石鹸を作っている、アデル・ファンサ社のアデル・ファンサ氏（93）が2021年9月10日夜亡くなりました。

石鹸で最も大事な要素は

原料のオイルと釜炊き、そして熟成だよ

幼い時から家業の石鹸作りを手伝い電気もガスも石油も苛性ソーダもない時代から古代より続く石鹸作りを実践してきた、正に生き証人でした。時代の急激な変化に翻弄されつつも見事に対応し次世代へとその伝統を受け継ぎました。２５年ほど前から石鹸作りの第一線は息子のタラール・ファンサ氏に交代していたものの、長く現場に携わり、アデル・ファンサ社や弊社にとって精神的支柱であり続けました。
石鹸工場に早朝誰よりも早く出社し杖をつきながらも工場を歩き回りチェックをされていました。内戦中はアレッポに残り自宅から毎日戦闘や爆撃の音を聞いて過ごされていたようです。昨年１月にアレッポでお会いした時は、昔の石鹸作りについて少年のように目をキラキラさせながら話してくれました。
　大切な家族を失った気持ちです。

Mr. Adel Fansah of Adel Fansah Company passed away on the night of 10th of September, 2020 at the age of 93 in Aleppo, SYRIA.

He was a living witness to the practice of the soap manufacturing, continuing the old style of soap making, when there were neither electricity, gas, nor petroleum, nor caustic soda. He helped the family business from a very young age. He was a true living witness to this soap manufacturing.
He transferred his skill splendidly to the next generation, even in the rapid changes of the world,. For about 25 years ago, he passed on the method and spirit of the manufacturing to his son, Mr. Talal Fansah. However, he had and has been the continuously most important person in his role, spreading of the spirit for both the Fansah Company and us. We were told that he commuted to the factory earlier than anyone else to check the facilities with his cane in his hand. During the war, he stayed in Aleppo, allegedly hearing the sound of the severe warfare every day in his house. When we visited Aleppo last January,2019, he told us about again manufacturing of the soap in the traditional way with his eyes sparkling brilliantly like a boy.
We have a deep feeling of sorrow as if we lost our own family member.
We express our deepest condolences to his family. We pray with all our hearts for him to rest in peace.
